TSA Students Awarded at Fall Leadership Conference at Jekyll Island

The competition our students attended at Jekyll Island was the Fall Leadership Conference (FLC) which is designed to provide Georgia TSA members and advisors the opportunity to increase their leadership, communication, and team building skills by attending hands-on workshops, seminars and general sessions. This conference also provides for chapter members and advisors to gain knowledge and skills in relation to our Competitive events Program by attending hands on workshops, seminars, and sessions during our Technical Sessions. In addition we have four signature events on site, a VEX State Qualifier Tournament, a First Lego League Tournament, a Georgia Electrathon Rally and, of course Leadercon wouldn’t be complete without our popular Armada Boat Race.
There were over 130 chapters (schools) at this event from all over Georgia. Only 2 of the 4 competitive events (listed above) middle schools could participate in: the First Lego League Tournament (Robotics) and the Armada Boat Race. Five awards were given out for each of these events, and Tucker Middle School received awards in BOTH events! For the First Lego League Tournament we received the Project Award and for the Armada Boat Race we received the Most Spirited School Award! Way to go Tucker!
